| hot weather The hot weather is affecting charlie. He doesn't want to eat..He drinks a lot of cool water. I leave his water and food bowl for him all day so he can eat and drink whenever. He has also look like he doesn't have energy. He doesn't want to play fetch. He is wondering around the house with his little head down. Sometimes, he just drops down and don't want to do anything. It is too hot so I don't let him go outside. We are inside where it is nice and cool. If we do go outside, we are always under the shade. I am worry about his appetite and loss of energy. Does your yorkie do this in the summer time? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hasn't his loss of appetite and loss of energy been going on for quite a while though? I think you've posted about it a few times now, if I remember. If a dog has loss of appetite and lethargy - it needs to see a vet. Just to give a comparison, we live in the dessert where it gets up to 115 degrees - and though my dogs are not outside during the worst days, they always have loads of energy. So, I'm just not sure that Charlie's issues are just from the heat.

| I agree. I think he needs to see a vet. I would expect his appetite to change if he were an outside dog. If he's inside in the a/c all day I would think there would be little change. |
