| Just left Millie at the vets... She's in for her spay. She also needs a baby tooth taken out and teeth descaled. They gave her a sedative before I left so hopefully she wont be distressed now that I am away. She hasnt been herself the last 2 days. Her sitter gave her pork on Monday (which doesnt agree with her) so she threw that up. Then she had to be fasted all day yesterday, so I think she is just tired and hungry. I told the vet and he check her heart beat and her temperature, all was fine, and said she would be ok for the op. So now I am waiting on the call. they said she should be ready after lunchtime, which is 2-3 hours from now. Its a long wait. I felt awful leaving her -so guilty.

| I'm sure she'll be fine. Don't worry, it sounds as if she is in good hands, but I know you are stressing. My prayers are with you and Millie.

| It's so much harder on us, isn't it. I'll be saying prayers for a quick, safe procedure. Please let us know when you hear that she is done.

| Thanks for all your thoughts. I just lifted her there. She was in much better form than I expected. She got up and walked about when I went in for her. She ended up getting three teeth out and the spay. We got home, and she jumped straight up on to the back of the chair where she lies in the sun. Will be lifting her for a few days, am afraid she'll jump too far and disturb the stitches. She was given an injection painkiller so she seems ok now, but they didnt give me anything else for the rest of the evening or tomorrow. She is still very quiet and sleepy. Her coat is very messy. There is blood down her back legs, and her back and round her mouth is very matted and sticky. I assume it was a cleaning agent or antiseptic they used. When should I try to clean this? I tried to wet round her mouth but she trys to get up and walk away. Am afraid I'll not be able to get it brushed out, and I'm not sure when she can be bathed again, but I dont want to distress her any more.
