| Question...... Madison is 14 weeks. She has all her shots so far except rabies, which she will be getting in a few weeks. Is it safe to take her out for walks now? Tomorrow it is going to be unseasonably warm, 70's YAY!! I would really like to take her for her first walk outside, but not if it isn't safe for her. Thank you!!

Senior Yorkie Talker | when did she get her last set of shots? if she got them atleast 2 weeks ago then she should be totally fine! the vet said to wait 2 weeks after the last one so it can take effect on the immune system, just to be safe

| Just pick her up and carry her around outside. As far as the rabi shot, please wait awhile to have that. Watch this video The Rabies Vaccine for Dogs: Side Effects and Precautions You Can Take |

| My vet won't give rabies shots until they are at least 6months old and depending on their weight.

| She is 5 lbs, does that make a difference. She was 3.7 lbs at 9 weeks and when I took her back at 13 weeks she was 5 lbs. I think that's big for her age, is it not?

| Honestly, I don't know what would be a good ideal weight for them to have their rabies shot. The reason why I'm holding off on the rabies shot for Orion is because he now weighs only 2.2 lbs at 6 months. In addition, the breeder recommended me to hold off on giving the rabies until he's a little older. As for my other furbutt, Cassi, got her rabies shot when she was 28 weeks, weighing 2.9 lbs. She was fine and had no adverse reactions.

| The age a puppy has to get the first rabies shot is set by law. If you tell me what state you live in, I can look it up for you. |

| I know what mine is, but, it doesn't matter to me. Mine is in the house all the time, and I'm not taking a chance with her. The breeder and I both decided I would wait until she's a year old, and then I may not even have it done then. |
