| Possible Yorkie Breathing Problems When my yorkie is carrying around a toy in her mouth it sounds like she has A LOT of congestion in her throat or that she is having problems breathing. She doesn't snore or make any other breathing sounds at any other time, and it doen't seem to bother her. My vet told me to give her Children's Benadryl everyday. I am afraid this may have adverse effects. Has anyone had this problem? Thanks! |

| I have a dog on benadryl...It's a common drug for dogs. He hasn't experienced any side effects. Good luck!

| Welcome to YT!. My Chip makes odd noises when he is carrying a toy around too. I have asked his vet, but he said that he seemed healthy. I worry about him too. Good luck, I hope someone on here can help you (and me too) ha, ha.

| Benadryl for allergies I have several questions for you. Do you give your dog children's benadryl and how much if you do? Does your dog take it for allergies? My dog is 8 1/2 pounds and I want to compare it with my vets advice. Thanks!! |
