| Canned fruit I've been giving my 2 a teaspoon of cottage cheese for a mid day snack with a little of the lite syrup from canned fruit and some of the fruit cut up and mixed into the cheese. The amount of the fruit that I have given is equal to 1/2 of a slice of peach in canned peach slices. Is canned fruit okay or is there still too much sugar? I just starting doing this and they seem to devour it up. Thanks.

| Way too much sugar! How about fresh or frozen fruit instead? I keep frozen organic blueberries on hand for Lady. I also give her pieces of fresh apple or melon. Banana is good, too. |

| oh yes that frozen fruit is great! Before Layla decided she was going to spit every piece of fruit out- i would take out a handful of a time from the freezer to put in the fridge and mix it in her yogurt! |

| thanks for answering. I did think about baby food desserts. I guess I'll get some of that. I was using baby food carrots to mix in with their food and they loved it.

| I do give them fresh fruits and they love that. I haven't tried the frozen yet. They're not crazy about banana or oranges (figures, I always have those around), apple is iffy as with me as well, so it will go to waste. They do like strawberries and blueberries. Thanks for your response.
