| Zuke's Z Ridge Dental Bones..quality?? Are Zuke's Z Ridge Dental Bones ok to use?? Meaning, I don't want to use anything that could be a hazard to Snickers. Here are the ingredients, they DO say NOT to give to dogs under 5lbs, Snick is about 4lbs (almost) and I always watch him when he chews anything (usually his Spotato chews or kong/nylabone) but I saw these at Three Dog Bakery and got 1 'mini' and Snick loved it, he worked on it for like a week till I thew out the end nubb. Snick is on a grainfree diet and know these are not grainfree. I just want a little variety for him. Anyone else use these?? Just want to know if anyone sees anything hazardous... Potato Starch, Vegetable Glycerin, Cellulose Fiber, Alfalfa Concentrate (a source of Chlorophyll), Natural Flavor, Lecithin, Whey, Vanilla Extract, Clove Powder, Parsley Powder, Nutmeg Powder and Fennel Seed Powder THANKS!!

| Is he allergic to grain? Or do you just have him on grain-free as personal preference? I'm considering getting some for my dog, although she weighs 6lbs. Zuke's actual website states this as reasoning for not giving a dog under 5 lbs their bones. "Your dog's safety is the most important thing to us. Because of how small the digestive system is in a five pound dog, the small Z-Ridge is more volume than we feel a dog of that size can safely eat." I think this statement is based on the "feed one per day" method. I think if he's chewing it over a week it should be fine. I wouldn't feel safe giving him a whole one in a day. How old is Snick, btw? Puppies sometimes have a more sensitive tummy and too much can make them sick.

| Thanks for responding Rachel.... Snickers is on grainfree per my personal prerference. He is doing so well on it. I cannot rave enough!! Snickers will be 8 months this week and yes, he chewed on his mini Zridge for actually about 10 days. He has a belly of steal so nothing really upsets his stomach thankfully. He still has 1 baby tooth he needs to get rid of and anything he chews on helps. Since he liked the Zukes so much, I wanted to get more but wanted to be sure they were ok.

My baby is 7 months and she lost all her teeth before her spay 2 weeks ago. I have to thank bully sticks and tug of war. LOL You should try some bully sticks too! They keep Mahina occupied and I don't really supervise because she's a slow adequate chewer. But I do take them away when they are around 2 inches. If you do wanna try them out, I get mine from the user AMD (westbrookdog.com) here on YT. And I think I'm going to have to go buy some Zuke's ZRidge Chews. Especially since Mahina loves the Mini Naturals.

| Thanks Rachel... Actually I can't get myself to try Bully Sticks...they completely gross me out!! I have read so much about them and know many Yorkies love their bully stick but I was a vegetarian for 10 yrs so I think you know what I mean. I start dry heaving just looking at them in the stores hahaha. I hope Snicks last "baby fang" will come out on his own and we won't have to have it removed. His other side and bottoms came out just fine. His breathe is not stinky so I'm thankful for that. I'm gonna get a few more ZRidge unless someone else comes back with something that might make me not, like not so great ingredients...I don't give Snick anytype of "junk" and am so particular in what he puts in his mouth that I hope ingredients wise these are safe....

The fangs were probably one of the last to go, if he let's you try to wiggle it around and maybe it'll help make it loose. I don't see anything wrong with the ingredients. Although someone may differ.
