YorkieTalk Newbie! | Question about future puppy's eyes My wife and I are getting ready to take the big plunge and get our first yorkie. We visited the breeder when the puppies were 8 weeks old and picked out a puppy. The breeder will not sell them until 12 weeks old as is their way. He is now ten weeks old. They have been updating us regularly with pictures and everything has seemed fine up until this latest batch of photos. The pup's right eye appears cloudy. Normally I would attribute this to the flash used for the photo but I am slightly concerned. I might be overreacting but I figured I would ask. What do you think? |

| Looks like a cloudy eye to me. Maybe its a reaction to a puppy shot. I am having a gray moment and cant recall what it is in the puppy shot that they react too, sorry. I think its the distemper part. It also could be an injury from playing with another puppy. If you are going to buy this puppy, I would want the breeder to have that eye checked by a vet and guaranteed. It could just be the picture, but its the dullness that catches my eye on and makes me think of and injury to it. It doesnt look watery due to irritation though.

| if you are referring to the blue color in the eye.. it is most likely due to the flash of the camera! a lot of babies eyes appear a different color due to the flash.. and puppies tend to sometimes have a blue-ish color to their eyes, at times! he is a cutie!
