| Innova Evo Users Hey everyone... So many of you know about my battle with Snickers and his eating issues. Well he finally is eating well and is energetic and seems super happy. I am NOT switching again and am keeping him on this unless something terrible happens. I love the offd itself and am so happy he is getting so much meat and protein. I have him on Innova Evo Small bites (I'm gonna rotate both flavors) and feed him in the morning with a itty bitty bit of EVO caned Venison and then again at 4:30pm just dry and leave it out till about 8pm, he snacks all evening which I am fine with. He seems to be pooping alot less. Yesterday he only went once in the morning and then he went again this morning, but just a little tiny tootsie roll. My question to you: How often does your dog poop on EVO?? I hope he is not constipated!!

| we used to feed evo before going on Raw. Mine only pooped once or at the most 2x a day. i think with high quality food without filler, dogs tend to poop less and the poops are smaller. With Raw food, my girls poop less and the poops are so small. their bodies absorb all the good nutrients in the high quality food like evo. so i don't think you should worry.

| I have noticed the "output" if you will is much smaller and compact than on other foods. My sister feeds her Old English Sheepdog Evo too, and you can REALLY tell a difference with her! If you are really worried about him being constipated, you could offer some canned pumpkin, but I think it is just how it is with this food. I'm glad to hear you found a food Snickers likes!

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I been feeding Innova Evo to my Harry boy for 2 years now and yes the Higher the quality of the food the less waste or poop you have. My holistic Vet also suggested to add half a teaspoon of 100% can pumkin to his morning feed 3 times a week, I been doing that for about 4 months now and I can't be happier and Harry LOVES his food, He is a VERY picky eater and he's been eating Innova for 2 yrs. now no problem. Harry is 9 pounds and Very healthy..at his great age of 6 years 4 months, he will be 7 next september.oh forgot, Harry poops twice a day a bit after his two meals. Best of luck with your baby.. hugs, carmen in nj Last edited by carmen in nj; 02-12-2009 at 07:24 AM. |

| Max goes 2 times a day on EVO. I have only used the Turkey and Chicken Small Bites. Then sometimes I will give him also a small amount of the EVO canned Turkey and Chicken (the lower protein of the 2 types) in the orange can. I just switched him back because he was pooping so much on the Wellness Small Breed (with a very small amount of NB added to use up the old bag). After 1 month I am tired of all the poop. He was going 3 times a day and a lot at a time. Twice as much as the EVO. Also it was softer and stinky. Max LOVES EVO.

| Turns out he was semi backed up. He took a huge poop in his crate this morning while we were at work. Geez! I'm bummed. But he would not go last night b/c of the rain and he also ate until 8pm last night (my fault) so was way off schedule. Oh well, another day, another lesson learned. Thanks for all the input...I'm gonna get the pumpkin in case he is not used to all the protein to help move him along.

| I love Natura Pet Foods (EVO, Innova, and California Natural) The high quality less fillers makes them poop less, but I also give my dog sweet potato chews which helps move things along if you will. It is less messy than canned pumpkin and my dog enjoys chewing on it. I only give her one a day and it has not made her have runny stools or anything like that, just keeps her regular. There are several out there that I have tried but my fave are some that I first picked up from the vet and now buy online (Bichon Fries) at Pet Boutique - Dog Pet Store Supply |

| We're enjoying EVO right now... Nikko's poops, though still not perfect (he still has a few very soft ones some days), are much better than they were on Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover. They're also somewhat less in quantity, and a bit more predictable as well. He still usually poops about 3x a day, though sometimes 2x if he doesn't eat as much that day. Lauren & Nikko |

| You all are so great!! I just got home from a 5 day vaca in the Dominican (SO GREAT!) and just got home from picking up Snick (missed him liike CRAZY!!) and his sitter said he is doing awesome on the EVO and I am so happy!! Yay!! Also, I already use Sam's Yams products and I LOVE THEM!! Bully Sticks FREAK me out (Bull's weiney-no thanks! I was a vegetarian for 10 yrs! LOL) and use the BERRY YAMMY hard chews which act just like a bone and are grain free and all natural sweet potato and blueberries. SO GREAT!!! I'm also using NB SPotato and Venison grainfree biscuits as day snacks with some apples slices and banana which he goes nuts for. I'm so thrilled Snick is on such a GREAT, extremely healthy, grainfree, diet and is doing so well!! YA-WHOO!!!

| i started feeding my 10 mth old origen this last Mon. and last nt he went to throw up and it was his poo So as of today no more of that. That's the 1st time we've been through that. So now, I'm going to order the EVO and see how that does. He weighs 5# and is 10 mths old. He eats his food as soon as I set it down for him. I give him a total of 1/2 cup a day in 2 sittings. He would eat more should I give him more?? Thanks for any info. Connie |

| Yes, EVO is very high in protein I believe it's 42%, which is about 2 times as high as recommended for Yorkies. However, people say that it's a high quality source of protein so it's o.k. for a healthy dog with no issues. I would like to know, from those who have been feeding EVO for a while, how is your dog's bloodwork? Were the numbers normal before you started EVO and are they normal now? What about kidney function and overall health? I've stayed away from EVO because of the protein content but one of my girls seems to do better when I ad more carbs/protein to her food so I may consider it at some point. |
