| Living in Korea...food options Hubby just got stationed in Korea, and we have our Yorkie and Jack Russell along for the ride. The problem is that we are having problems finding food here or companies that can ship to an APO. We can get the typical store brands like science diet, purina, and eukenuba, but I can go on the economy and buy random Korean brands(i'd rather not buy these as i can not read the ingredients) but I have seen Royal Canine. Of these which are the better brands? Thanks! |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I feed Max RC, I bought it for him before I started YT, it is the only food he would eat, I've tried many other great foods, but he does not like them, so far he's had no problems on it. You also have the option of home cook. Good luck to you.

| How about the "natural" lines in some of these brands like Science Diet Nature's Best Chicken? If no natural kinds are availble, I would probably go with RC but some of their foods are better than others.

| Thanks! I will look into the brands a little more. I did a brief glance the last time I was at the commissary. I will see if I can find a natural brand. I just hadn't read much about RC so I was trying to avoid it if possible.

| Now's a great time to home cook. Anyway, do you have anyone in the states that can mail you the brand of dog food you would like?

| Hi. I don't know about customs from the States to Korea, but I do know that when I traveled from Mexico to the States, they didn't let me bring any of my puppy's food in. They only let me bring in a small amount that was in her food bowl. I don't think they would have even let me bring in a sealed bag. RC is the only kind of food I can find in Mexico. Then there's Eukanuba, but I'm not too happy with that kind. But my puppy hates it. I guess I'll look to see what else is available too. I guess we're in the same boat. |
