| Flea and heart worm meds. My vet wants me to put lily on sentinel this spring after her heart worm test. She is on Vectra now just for the fleas. Is this stuff safe?I would like a combo pill that does the fleas and heart worms, ticks are not a problem in my yard.Is this the best kind or is there a better one?The Sentinel is only 10 bucks compared to the 17 bucks it cost me for the vectra! So thats a big plus seeings how i am currently laid off.

| Why Vectra if ticks aren't a problem? Sentinel is fine but it only stops the fleas from reproducing. You can still have a problem with the adults. I use Interceptor for heartworm. It is the base of Sentinel.

| I use Revolution for both of my babies. I love it, it takes care of heartworm and ear mites as well as fleas. Both of my boys have had no reaction, but you should still ask your vet. Good Luck! |

| Fleas only. You would need something else for heartworm unless you use Advantage Multi (not recommending it). I wouldn't use any of the combination products except possibly Sentinel which may not be enough in this case.
