| what do you mean by double teeth!? Usually double teeth is when the adult teeth are coming in, and the baby teeth have not falling out yet? Usually when you get your dog spayed/neutered, they will extract any remaining puppy teeth!

| Double teeth in Yorkies is very common. The baby teeth are usually pulled at time of spay/neuter.

| My baby boy had double rows of teeth...is that what you mean?? I also had the impression that the breeders were careless & only wanted to make $$. Is that what you mean by greed?? He's the cutest munchkin to me but so not AKC standard...which was disappointing, so I got him neutered (had 10 retained teeth pulled).

Joey had to have 6 teeth pulled during neutering, some might have come out on their own, but usually there are a couple that need help and since you don't want to risk anesthesia twice, you pull all the remaining baby teeth during neutering. Some people wait for neutering later, but many male dogs have started to mark at 8 months, and you want to neuter before marking begins.

| Another Double Teeth ??????? Let's be real baby teeth are pushed out because of new growth The double teeth are not pushed out cause there is nothing to push them out with Why is this...... I just lost my 14 yr old Yorkie and he never had this problem This is not a solution but rather a medical procedure to fix the problem I do not want my dog neuter/spay I want to show my dog Now I have to decide to put my dog under to have the extra teeth pulled and hope there is no more complications This issue of Double Teeth should not be called common but a breeder's concern for future and past litters because in reality its the buyer/owner that bares the expense and sometime fatal effects |

If you feel that strongly about it, why not start with you, and neuter the dog because his descendents will likely have double rows of teeth?

| Max had 4 baby canine teeth removed when he was neutered. Vet told me about maybe needing to extract baby teeth that did not fall out on their own when I brought him in for his first puppy visit at 14 weeks that it was common for Yorkies.
