| OMG what a difference I just changed my 5month olds food to Nature's Variety, i have him on the rotation diet and BOY HAS IT CHANGED HIM FOR THE BTTER.. NO more scratching, or dull hair.. nice solid poops.. he doesnt go after his poop any more.. it has worked wonders. and what i like even more is when i read the ingredients i know everything thats in the food he is eating. before i would feed him and give him supplements.. he wouldnt eat his food and hatied supplements.. now i cant get him away from his bowl and no longer need the supplement because its in the food!! I am VERY VERY happy with Natures variety and the choices he has to eat... i feed him raw diet, canned, and kibble.. each meal he gets something different and it has changed him into an even better puppy and keeps us out the VETS office! :anima l36

| I had the same problem, and my vet told me to alternate foods often. She said the in vet school a dog food company taught the class in nutrition, and they recommended sticking with one brand, but my vet said that if you stay with a brand too long, the dogs will end up getting allergic to it eventually. She also doesn't recommend using puppy food, because they don't need all that fat. I'm still giving mine puppy food, but gradually I'm going to switch to California Natural's sweet potato and rice, for a while see if my female will stop itching. You never know till you try. Just make sure their's not corn in it. That seems to cause bad allergic reactions. |

YT Addict | good food I use Dr. Foster and Smith, you order it from their web site. I am not sure how many dogs you have are if you are a breed, but they have great price when you buy alot. I got 4 30lbs bags for around $100. That is a better price they the stuff I was getting from Wal mart!!! |

hmm thats odd, cause my vet told me to get my puppy on puppy food when I told her what he was eating. It is so interesting to see what everyone else's vets recommend.

| I've checked Nature's Variety out and the protein is 35% I'm on Wellness Core and it 33% protein, I've noticed one is scratching her face a lot and the hair around her nose bridge is thinning and my other is licking her paws, so it looks like I might have to change the food. But they both like the food, and it's the only one Chelsea will eat. If the 35% protein is okay than I might change to Nature's Variety.
