| Can U give me some advice on licking paws These past 2 days Chelsea has been licking her front paws and scratching her face, I did bath her 2 days ago to get the salt and pebbles from her paws and I washed her face, could it be the shampoo or the food, or do dogs lick their paws. I started them on Wellness Core grain free a month ago; DaisiMae is fine although she does lick her paws once in a while. I like the food except Chelsea is putting weight on so I’m cutting down on the portions.

| My two girls lick their paws and clean around their eyes or maybe their mouth if I haven't wiped them after they ate. I also have a Pommie who has food allergies and bit his feet and legs. There is a difference. Guess you need to figure out if it's just cleaning or there is an allergy problem. Good luck. ~Joanne~

| Best advice...ask your vet...they can determine if it is allergies or not. Even with a grain-free food, they could still be allergic to another ingredient in it. I know that Mojo and Lily will, not all the time, but have been known to lick their feet and rub their heads...almost like a cat cleaning themselves??!! Strange I know, but they do...and it isn't an every day thing....so it could just be something that some dogs do...but definitely wouldn't hurt to ask your vet!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If it's just been going on for 2 days, what has happened then recently - like in the immediate past and then the last few weeks? Any changes?
