| Human food Hi Would someone be able to advise me what human foods are good for Yorkies? Mylo is getting fed up eating his puppy food and i wanted to give him a wee treat for a change. The vet said to give him scrambled egg once in a while. Any more suggestions. Hope everyone is well. Lots of love Diane and Mylo |

| Some shredded carrots, or very small pieces of carrots, couple bites of apple(without peelings), too many can cause diarrhea. You can do a search on foods toxic to dogs and will find out what's not good for them. I really don't give mine any people food other than an occasional piece of fruit or carrot, as I don't want them to stop eating their own food. They do get their doggie treats though |

| I agree ... human food is generally not good for dogs and plus it sets up a situation where they will want your food when they smell you eating it Best to get him a new treat made for dogs

| There are lots of lists in the health and diet section about healthy human food for dogs but it could make them uninterested in dog food altogether. That is all I feed though.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey just loves green beans, and I don't feel guilty giving him them. I get the frozen kind with no salt added. I don't understand why some people think human foods are bad, it depends what you choose. Avoid processed human foods, too much sugar, salt, and fat added. I also wouldn't worry about him getting fed up with his puppy food, it's actually easier to have a dog that's kind of indifferent to food, than one that goes nuts over it. Remember puppies go through growth spurts, and some days will eat more than others.

| This is not true. Unless you are referring to potatoe chips, mcdonalds or gravy. "Human food" Is one of the best things you can do for your dog. As long as you are feeding the right human food. Like cooked beef, pork or chicken. Fruits and veggies. When My mom is cooking steak or beef, I always take a few chunks of raw meat and throw in her bowl. Its great for her. Cooked meat is great too. JUst dont gie him/her breads and junky food. But "human food" is definatly NOT bad for dogs. Keely always gets some of our human supper in with her wellness.. |

| Yogurt, lowfat cheese, a little bread, boiled chicken , in moderation is what I let Suzi eat. Vegies and fruits are also ok. Check out the list of very bad and toxic foods that is on here....
