| Need Ideas/Suggestions What kind of products do you use to keep your puppy smelling good. No matter how many baths charlie get, he still smell. I wonder if I am using the wrong shampoo. I am using the sergeant's tick and fleas shampoo in cotton something scent. I am also using the 8-1 moisturizing conditioner in pink lilac from petco. He just doesn't smell good. I want a good smelling puppy. |

| The groomers on this site would probably cringe but I use PERT. LOL Key West Aloe does have doggie shampoo and they have an amazing doggie deodorant that is aloe based that I have used in the past. You can look them up online and they are made for dogs with great ALOE |

| My pug (passed away a year ago) used to smell awful. Finally a new vet said it was skin condition. He gave us shampoo to use and that took care of the problem. |

| I second Ann's suggestion. I have been fighting allergies with Sugar and when they get away from me he gets stinky! Once he was diagnosed with Staph and now he's being treated for sebhorriac dermatitis. A dog with heathy skin wont be stinky after a bath so I'd just get him looked at.

| BTW, you might want to browse in the yorkie product review section. You'll probably get a lot of ideas for shampoos you will like better than the Sergeants.

Thor's Human Donating Member | You can hide the problem! I use a doggie perfume called "Oh My Dog!" that he tolerates pretty well and smells subtle, but pleasant. I used to think that was his natural doggie smell, but no, it turned out to be the perfume. I sort of struggle with baths, because I don't want to over-wash him, but he gets dirty sooo fast. He's only a couple inches off the ground, any kind of grass in the park is guaranteed to be thigh-high. |

| Personally, I'm not fond of the Sergeants brand. In addition to probably needing to have any medical problem elimated, I'd try switching to a different shampoo. Mink Sheen will send you a trail sample, love a company that will do that!! Here's there website, Touch of Mink Exclusive Skin Care Products just go the the Contact link and send them a note. I'm waiting, oh so not patiently , for my sample now.
