| Worried about parvo, should I do this? I get my puppy on January 20th, I want to train her immediately to do her business outside, but I will also keep pee pads in her xpen for when we aren't home (never for more than a few hours -- we are university students and our classes are only for a few hours a day!) Since she will not have all of her shots when we get her, should I take her outside? We live in a townhouse, so our back yard is shared by a few more people. We do have our own cement pad and patch of grass (which I have never seen any dogs on -- but who knows!) Would it be okay to take her quickly outside on our cement pad? What did you all do when you had puppies? Thanks a lot! |

| In my opinion , I would wait until she had all her shots. Just to be safe. Vaccinations are not 100% though. However, like you said, you never know when taking the puppy outside if their has been other dogs.

| I am SUPER paranoid, so I've only been using pee pads indoors. My girl is 16 weeks old, her shots are done, and she still hasn't had her feet touch the ground in a public area. I've just started taking her in my backyard for playtime recently.
