| my yorkie wont eat dog food Hi everyone, i was wondering if someone could help me out with my doggy problems. well my yorkie is 6 months and she hasn't been really eating her food. Iv'e tried soft food, i've tried other puppy foods and she just wont eat it she actually refuses it completely. But she will try to eat table food. So its not like she's just not hungry because she is. what can i do to get her to eat her food instead of the crumbs that my kids drop??? |

| Clean up the crumbs Seriously ...ban her from the kitchen when you eat and her food gets put out for a half hour when she's supposed to eat and goes away after that .......... Believe me she'll eat Why on earth should she eat dog food when there's the possibility of getting even a Little human food?

| I had a problem getting my cutie to eat also. The vet told me to mix her dry puppy food with a teaspoon on chicken baby food...(it is called chicken gravy) and she eats it all up! I do this 2 times a day and let her graze on dry food the rest of the day. Maybe this will help! |

| Here's another thought...she might be teething. Snickers is 6 months and is having a hellava time with his teeth poor guy. I take his kibble and mash it up into crumbs and thats they only way he can eat it right now b/c his teeth hurt him so bad, and I know it's his teeth b/c he has stinky breath so they are coming in and prob a few need to be pulled. Try mashing her kibble up, she might take to it better. If I leave out the kibble the way it is, Snickers will smell it, take one, realize he can't bite it, and walk away. I was soaking it in water and even microwaving it, and he would sometimes eat but then got fussy with that. He can be very high maintanence, just like his mom -Viv |

| I hate to tell u this . But welcome to the world of picky yorkies. I think this their nature. My is a year old an i`m always trying to find something she will eat. I guess i let her rule the house. Don`t start that. Molly will eat something for awhile an then thats the end of that. So i do change her food between dog food an chicken. She does like dog food with gravy . She stays pretty thin but she is very active so i guess food just isn`t her thing. They are high mantaince. But i still love her to pieces. |

| Try Granny's Pot Pie by Merrick.. It is very tasty, Mimi is a very picky eater too. She will only eat something that has a lot of flavor. You can also try those food toppers, see if that works. |

| I am surpised that your little one eat any canned food . As long as the food is high quality keep trying to find something she will eat. No puppy food with any fillers added . Check out the super pre. pet foods list on here.
