| Treats I used cheerios as a treat when mine were small. I would give them one at a time when rewarding pottying and always made them sit before they got it. It didn't take long for them to figure out what to do to get a treat!

| Just thinking of the nutrition in their kibble that you want them to have rather than filling up on Cheerios. So I wouldn't give more than 1/8 cup between meals. Giving them one at a time is a great idea, a little fun with the treat.

| When Penny was a puppy and hadn't quite caught on to the whole "COME!" thing yet, Cheerios were the only reliable way that I could retrieve her if she managed to run away from me. I'd shake the box and she'd come bounding out of wherever she was hiding. One at a time, they make very nice treats-- and a lot less filling and calorie-dense than dog biscuits.
