| Soft Dry Food? Does anyone know of a dry food that is soft or softer than most dry foods? My Lucy eats Beneful puppy food right now but, it seems really hard. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Mary |

| I dont know of any that are softer but Royal Canin mini bites are thin and real small.

you can try to soften it up by adding a lil water or if you boil chicken u can use that broth.. no salt no oil .. try that?

| I have tried to use water but, she doesn't like it. I was just asking because she doesnt' really eat her food. I was thinking that if I got her something softer she might eat more of it. Just a thought. I'm afraid that she is underweight. Thanks |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | You might try adding a touch of yogurt or cream cheese in with the dry food...it will soften up the food and she should like it!! I did this with my girls for a while, when they were sick with a virus and they did great on it....

| Wellness is good. They are kind of big but break up real easy. It is also a good food.

| Thanks again for the responses. Of course now it looks like she is eating more of her food so, I guess I will wait to see how she does before trying anything else. Mary |

| The hard kibble is unfortunately the best thing for the teeth but I heard that Natural Balance is softer. |

| Wellness is a bit larger then Royal canin, but it crunches very easy. |

| Purina has a Puppy Chow that has some soft morsels mixed in with the dry kibble. I feed it to Max (10 months old), I'm at work and cant think of the exact name...but it is Purina Puppy Chow with the soft pieces. Max loves it sooo much, try it out on your furbaby and see what happens. good luck! |

| I've noticed that Beneful adult food is harder than the puppy food--not sure why that is.... |

| Gucci loves the Natural Balance Meat rolls, but I have to alternate cause hs egets tire fast. I feed Gucci Canidae but is just dry, not really soft but it crunches pretty well. Sometime I put some water and it gets soft pretty fast. I notice that Gucci is very picky. Sometimes she wont eat from her plate but does eats it if i feed her by hand. |
