| new baby i have never had a small dog, i have a border collie and german shepard, so tyson is going to be a lot smaller. i have a few concerns tho and hope its just me being a worrier 1: i was told he was ready to leave mom but that he had just had a suckle off his mom 2: i was told he didn't yet eat dry biscuits unless wet and mashed and stole his moms weebox food 3: he can lap ok but seems to gum his food and has a hard time trying to eat it(wet puppy food) i was prepared for the whining as i knew he would need to settle in. i just want to be sure he was big enough to leave mom and if i need to do anything to his food |

| This sounds like a puppy that might be just a little too young right now Best that they are at least 8 weeks old and weened off their mom

| i was told he is 8 weeks but still think he might be younger as he keeps trying to suckle off my other dog molly. i have some lactol so have mixed it with his puppy food so its more like a soup and is easier for him to eat. he is very playful but still very much a puppy who wants to sleep on my lap and runs behind me when he gets scared i only got him today |
