| Should I worry? Stormy is very laid back. She just enjoys cuddling and laying around getting her belly rubbed or being pet. She isn't very playful and doesn't really show interest in toys, I've tried a few different bones but they don't really interest her too much either. She enjoys going on walks and running around. Is it just her personality? Or could it be something more? Maybe I worry too much but I can't help it. She eats fine and drinks fine too, so far we've had a couple problems with her that came up but I just can't help and worry what will happen next. I want to get her bile acid test done hopefully this week I can have them checked. I am just so scared to find out anything is wrong with her, she is so sweet and I love her so much |

| I think it would be impossible to say if there is something causing her to be laid back without a lot of testing. For some dogs it's normal and for some it isn't. Maybe she hasn't really ever played much as a pup?

| How old is you little yorkie? Maybe she just prefers to spend time with you rather than play with toys? |

| My boys aren't very interested in playing. Never have been so I chalk it down to being couch potatoes. |

| Mine play first thing in the morning, even the pup that is only 6 mos. Most of the time she would rather be on your lap sleeping. Remember, most dogs sleep 20 hours a day. If she's been to the vet, then I'm sure she's fine. |

| yorkie mama, I did not see the age of your yorkie. Mine is only 12 weeks and loves to play, but she just plays in short spurts - she plays hard for about 30 minutes, then it is nap time again. I think some dogs just would rather cuddle. If you concerned though, a simple blood test at the vet can at least check her "numbers" and let you know if everything is normal. Then you won't have to worry. Good luck! Lucky's mom |

| She will be two in April. She gets her little moods where she is active but she is more of a lap dog thats for sure. She has been to a vet few times now and besides the obvious things that have been wrong he hasn't found much else wrong with her. She has been through alot, she has had one side of her ribs broken so I don't know if she was ever taught to play or have fun. I've tried fetch and she doesn't know the concept of it |

| My Toto is not very playful I got him when he was 22 months old he is now 4 yrs old. He will play sometimes if I play with him, but, not on his own. He's not really quiet when outside so I know he's healthy and eats more that he should. I wouldn't worry too much. |

| Some just do not play. I have 5 yorkies and a poodle and 3 play and 3 do not. It just depends on thier unique personalities

| Yorkie Mama 22, If she is 2 years old, then I think it is normal for her to be sleeping more. Dogs do sleep most of the day. Again, you can get a blood test to ease your mind. Best of luck with your sweet pup.

| Do not fret. My two year old yorkie, Gypsy, had NO INTEREST in toys until we got our 2nd yorkie. Now, she likes to take the puppy's toys and lie on top of as many of them as she can so the puppy can't have them. The very odd time she will chew on them, but it is only when the younger dog is trying to get them. Her favourite past time is sleeping. |
