| I think the pup will be fine. You said said she didn't eat a lot. Mine ate cat food all the time and didn't have a problem, not even loose stools. |

| I think she will be just fine. Occasionally owners are told to feed canned cat food to underweight dogs. The biggest concern with a one time occurance is that she could get pancreatitis or possibly some intestinal upset. Because she is so young, if she does get diarrhea, you may have to go to the vet because pups dehydrate so quickly but there is a very good chance that all will be okay.

| Don't worry - my Lucy does this from time to time, too, and has never suffered any ill effects from it. Obviously, we try to be careful, but Lucy is very crafty and if you turn your back for a second, she's in there! (And the cat just sits back and lets her!)

| Max stayed with a friend of mine for a day and was allowed to eat cat food. He (age 2) got really sick - diarrhea, throwing up his food, very sore to touch tummy, etc. - and spent a day at the vet. It really upset his tummy. He's fine now (after $200 vet bill!) and hopefully no other issues occur!

| I don't think it will be a problem. Maybelline goes behind Gracie every morning and licks her bowl clean of what she leaves behind; and Maybelline has not started meowing as of yet! LOL

| I think there was a member on here (Sharonandtink?) that lost her little girl because she ate some cat food. I believe there is something in the food that dogs cannot digest...but don't quote me on that because I can't remember the exact situation. I think it's only dangerous if consumed in large amounts, but to be safe my cat food stays FAR away and high up from my dogs, because I don't want to risk it! Your baby will probably be fine but I wouldn't let him do it on a regular basis... |
