| have you had a vet check them out? there are two types of infections that can go on in the ears.... 1 being yeast, usually a yellowish, white discharge, the other being bacteria, where its more brown to black discharge.... another suggestion is that if your baby has a lot of hair in her ear canal, if you get her groomed, they should pluck that hair out, which will help prevent ear infections.... but....if you have gone to the vet, they should do an ear swab to test what type of infection it is, and give you meds for it! Good Luck!

| I have this some problem with Lily and I use this same medicine. The vet said it could be recurring due to food allergies or moisture so I had most of the hair plucked out of her ears and it has helped. she only gets them about 2x a year vs every other month.

| Believe it or not, but ear plucking does help a lot. I have never heard of that medicine, but maybe ask for a different med?

I was always told by all the 6 vets i worked for, that allergies typically dont occur until the dog is at least a year old...im not sure if i buy that or not.....

| When I was a tech this was the most common reason for an office appointment. Did they do an ear cytology? If so, was it yeast or bacteria? We used Ottomax for yeast and Panalog for bacteria both go in the ear, and for nasty bacteria we used Baytrill. We also flushed the dog or cats ears. Your pup is a little young for food allergies, but make sure you are on a good food you can also add some probiotics to supplement the diet. Plucking the hair from you pups ears and putting cotton balls in them when getting a bath will help to keep moisture out.
