| how does your baby do with shots/vaccinations? My poor little baby...he got vaccinations at the end of October and then another round today. He gets so sore and pitiful. He's basically lame for a good 30 hours afterwards and I can't pick him up very easily or he yelps. Just pitiful. |

| Layla has horrible reactions just like me- like mother like daughter I insist that we space out her vaccines- she gets them over the period of three weeks- this has REALLY helped- just the rabies knock her out now but she only gets those every 3 years and she is done now with boosters- she won't be getting anymore. make sure is he NOT getting lepto- it knocks them out- is not needed- and can cause death from the reaction |

| My 4 year old male Yorkie (5.4 lbs.) had an absolutely horrible reaction to his vaccinations. He had his shots on a Wednesday, I had to miss work the next day to take him back to the vet. He was very listless and dehydrated. On Friday, I stayed home with him because my husband and I thought he was dying. He wouldn't eat, drink nor stand up. Friday night we took him to an emergency hospital...more IV's and tears. We had to feed him baby food with a syringe!! He started to feel a little better after a week!!!!!!!!! I had told the vet that I wanted him to have half of the dosage because of previous problems but I think she gave him the full amount. I don't know what I'm going to do next year. We can NOT go through that again. I've been doing a lot of research online about what is absolutely necessary based on your dog's lifestyle and enviroment. (He is not around other dogs and uses a potty pad). One little injection has several meds in it. A lot of dogs, mostly small, die from vaccinations!! Prince's mom |

| Im so sorry to hear but I have not had to bring Stormy in for any vax yet. She is due for her yearly vax in April and I am hesitating if I should do this, She received her one year shots and April will be two year shots, I think I just may have the rabies shot since I know she has not had one yet, the lady I got her from said there wasn't a "need" for rabies shots |

| The problem is that legally, dogs have to have rabies shots. If someone were to get bitten by an unvaccinated dog, there could be tons of legal issues. In Florida, some vets will give half vacs to dogs under 10 pounds. I live in Georgia and am looking for a vet that will do that. It doesn't make sense for a five pound Yorkie to get the same amount as a St. Bernard!! I don't know what I'm going to do, yet. Prince's mom |

| My Molly had terrible reactions too! She even lost her hair at the injections site of her rabies vaccine! She will be do for her yearly vaccines in the spring and I don't know what to do! the spot where her hair fell out grew back in but it is blonde like the color of her head and this spot is on her left hip!! I'm afraid it's going to happen again!! She is a big girl too! She weighs 11lbs....My little girl Abby did fine! like nothing ever happened.

| Mac is terrible he will get sick(throw up) after his shots & be so sore he would cry out in pain if you would even touch his leg for two days. My vet now gives him a shot of something they say is like puppy Benadryl it works! Maci just got her second round of shots yesterday. First set she yelped in pain for the first 2 days so yesterday they did the Benadryl shot and you would never know she got shots other than it does make them a bit sleepy for a couple of hours after. Weird thing after her shot yesterday she yelped and cried for a few min after they first gave her her second shot they said it was normal that the meds just burned for a few seconds I never experienced that with any of my cats or dogs before..Scared me bad...She is perfectly fine tho! Running around like a maniac..lol

| I always insist that Canyon is given a shot of benadryl prior to any of his shots just to ensure that he doesn't have an allergic reaction. Canyon is a trooper though, nothing seems to phase him. |

| Gosh ... I must be lucky, 'cos Lucy never flinches and never has a bad reaction to vaccinations ... it's as if she does't even feel it. (Mind you, she's booked in to be spayed in January, and I'm already fretting!)

| My Suzi has had no problems with vaccines. I did however, have a cat that would have terrible reactions to her vaccines. My brother has the cat now, and it is as healthy as a horse. She is at least 8 years old too.
