| Dragging butt on ground... For the last few days my 10 month old Ella has been dragging her butt on the ground about once a day or so, just for like 5 seconds...She's never really done this before, so I was concerned there might be something wrong...Any ideas??? |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Worms will cause this, but the most likely problem is her anal glands need expressing. Generally the glands are expressed naturely when they have a bowel movement...but sometimes has to done manually.

| According to my vet, that means she needs her anal gland expressed. Your groomer or vet can do this. You can too, but it's super gross... |

| Anal glands are probably full...one of my boys does the same thing. when the glands are full ,dogs will scoot to help relieve the pressure. If it continues she may need to see the vet or groomer to have them expressed.

| Get the puppy in asap to the vet, they're the best ones to express them. I just got up to a HUGE mess yesterday(cost me $220), my yorkies anal glands were full(she was scooting a lot, but, she does quite a bit to begin with), anyway, I got up to poop on the kitchen floor, all over my leather sectional and the carpet. They can also rupture which is not a pleasant thing. My moms dogs anal glands ruptured when we were in to about 200 miles of an 850 mile trip, that was a nightmare.. |
