| Why is feeding people food to dogs bad? Why is feeding foods like cheese and chicken bad for dogs? Can anything bad happen to them if you feed it to them as treats and put some in there regular food? Please help because some people saw it's OK and others are against it. all your comments are welcome

| Welcome to YT! It's not always bad-it just depends on how much and what type you feed. Chicken is good for most dogs-but NEVER give a dog cooked bones of any kind. It needs to be unseasoned and no fat added. Cheese is ok in moderation-lowfat is even better. The reason these things can be bothersome is if your dog is liver or pancreas compromised, or has other health issues where fat and protein need to be monitored carefully. Some yorkie owners feed kibble, others raw or freeze dried raw, other prey model, and other home prepare dog foods. It just depends on what works best for you and for your dog-as well as your lifestyle and budget.

| White chicken meat is fine, stay away from the dark meat, it's too rich for their tummies and can cause diarrhea |

| People food is okay. Table scraps are not. Certain foods should be avoided but others are okay to give. My dog gets all human food but the ingredients and fat content are appropriate for a dog and her recipe was balanced by a veterinary nutritionist.

| Punkin eats only human food as well and she is doing really well. I too second that it must be healthy human food. Sometimes I will say out loud to Punkin 'you can't eat what I'm having cause it's not good for you'. i.e. salted, greasy etc and then I say to myself 'why am i eating this then' |
