| So far, I've been just using cheerios, but my little one is only 10 weeks old. After a few more weeks, I will give her plain yogurt, boiled chicken, egg, cottage cheese, fruit (no grapes) and veggies (no avocado)

| I use several different types of store bought dog treats. It can be trial and error if you have a picky eater. Since store bought treats can be very rich and high in calories we try to limit how many they get. Cheerio's are great, carrots and apples are also well liked by my gang. They all get a small bite of Daddy's egg in the morning, which they love!! Like LilMissy said, no grapes - the skin is toxic, so because of that I also don't give raisins. Just feel it's better safe then sorry. Sadie Mae was my alcoholic, she loved beer, mixed drinks, my eggnog with rum! lol She would not bother any "people" food left where she could reach, but she couldn't say no the the booze. She also enjoyed morning coffee with DH. Yogi seems to be following in her footsteps and enjoys a sip or two of DH's coffee after it's cooled down some. He's only 4 months old and I told DH he better not let him have any as it will stunt his growth. It's not something I would go out of my way to give them, but we found out they like it by finding them on the end table with their noses stuck in the cup.

| Yorkie Yummies are really good. My dogs love them. They are made with "brown rice, beef liver, and eggs." FoxyPups - Yorkie Yummies - Yorkie treats |

| Tatum gets Yogurt Drops and Cheerios. The Cheerios work great for training! I taught her to catch a soft frisbee in less than an hour one day using those. They are so tiny that you can use quite a few.

| Treats are kind of a trial and error thing. Zoë's snubbed TONS of treats, of course you can't return an open bag. Her favorite right now is Wellness's Pure Rewards, Venison Jerky flavor. It's the most expensive treat in the store but she loves it! This may be TMI but here's a bit of a warning using Cheerios, Zoë gets seriously clogged up if she gets more than a few a day. In fact when she gets diarrhea I give her a few to help her get back to normal. I knew they were good to use and was shocked when she got seriously constipated! Haven't heard of any other dog having that reaction but it certainly can't hurt for others to keep that in mind. |

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Rescued Yorkie Hello I am Kita I recently became the proud owner of a 2 year old Yorkie. I named him Kody and his is such a sweetie. This is my first time owning a dog of any type so this forum has been very helpful. I have a great deal of questions and will try not to flood the forum with them lol. Two of my most immediate questions are: 1. Got Kodt groomed yesterday and though he has know fleas, mites or ticks he is scratching exessively should I be worried? 2. What are some good healthy treats for my new baby? |
