| Home remedies for sticky eye goop? I had a yorkie growing up and I never remember him having sticky eye boogers that were difficult to untangle from the hair. My pup now has terrible ones that even after a bath still won't budge. I have to soak them and comb them out (which she hates) and even then I miss a lot. My question is if anyone had good techniques, products, home remedies, etc that there were for the removal of sticky, crusty, cement-like eye boogers!! |

♥ love my girls!! ♥ Donating Member | I don't think Bella's are as bad as that, but there's goop and dry crusty's (the bridge of her nose gets especially crusty, which is wierd because I never notice it being wet with tears ). Tonight I tried for the first time advice from another YT'er (??).....plain old artificial tears eye drops (make sure it has "boric acid" in the ingredients) .....and it worked fantastically!!!! At her advice I got the generic walmart brand, so it was cheap, cheap! and worked great!! Just wet a cotton ball and rub goop! Then I used a little flea comb to get all the crusties out of the hair. Hope it works for you too! (So much less expensive and safer for the eyes than other tear stain removing products!)
