| Please Help! My little Piper hates bathtime! Hi everyone...can anyone give me some advice? Our little 4 month old female yorkie, Piper...(we just got her) hates when I give her a bath...when I try to hold her to wash her...I'm afraid I might hurt her because she only weighs 5 lbs...also I think that bathing her once a week is sufficient...but whenever she goes for "number 2"...some gets "stuck" in her hair back there...anything I can do about this??? He hair is not very long yet...so I'm not sure why this is happening!!! Her 2 year old brother Rocky (shorkie) doesn't mind bath time...I remember when he was young he didn't like it either... Thanks for any advice!! |

| I have three babies. My two girls love bath time but, when I started giving Missy baths I always let her bring her favorite toy. Max on the other hand hates bath time. But, he didn't come to us until he was almost 5 months old. He is alot better now (he is 3 now) than he was in the beginning. He would try to jump out, climb all over us trying to escape, cry, scream. But, with alot of patience he doesn't do any of that any more. I know he does not like bath time at all but, I think talking to him in a calm voice and telling him what a good boy he is and how much I love him helped alot. Also, I give them a treat (Max's favorite part) right after they are finished. Meaning bath, brushing, blow drying (he loves this part)& then brushing again. I would trim the hair around her butt as closely as you can. I also, carry baby wipes in case there is an accident. Hope this helps. |
