| how often to feed I have a sixteen week old yorkie that I got when she was almost 9 weeks old. At that time, she weighed one pound. I took her to the vet last week and she weighed 2 lbs. (this is six weeks later). According to the breeder, she will probably only weigh 3-4 pounds full grown. My question is how often should I feed her? She's eating about three times a day, and this is only because I bring her to her food or I don't think she would eat that often because she's always busy doing something else. The reason I'm doing this is because when I picked her up, the breeder led me to believe that because of her size I was going to have to make sure she ate or she could become hypoglycemic, which she hasn't, and I think I've become a bit obsessed about it. But now that I see that she has gained weight and she's very active (she's actually a little terror), I have relaxed a bit but I just want to make sure she's eating enough and/or not overeating. Any advice? |
