| WELLNESS FOOD OPINIONS please!!!! Hi please send me your opinions on the wellness food. I switched about a week ago and I have never cleaned so much poop in my life in such a short span of time. Wouldn't you figure if more good things are going in, then less would be coming out?? I switched for a better brand and also I thought maybe the poo would be less smelly as well? I mean Yankee Candle can only do so much!!!

| Hahahaha sorry so funny, I love yankee candles too, anyway I have change couple week ago to wellness white fish, and your are right my girls look like they are pooping morehealthy but more often, I just to give them natural balance duck and potato and they only pup twice a day (twice the feeding) is good food, but my girls having trouble with the big kibbles fo the wellness, I'm going to change it to California Natural lamb small bites as soon this bag is gone, I have to cruch it specially for my Melody she has such a small mouth, and they don't seems as crazy for this food either

| My yorkie and Biewer's just finished a 20 lb bag of Wellness...and it will be their last. Not only did they poop twice as much...it was also much bigger, and smelled twice as bad. I thought the same thing about good things going in...but what came out wasn't worth it. I have just about tried everything. Either my dogs will not eat it...or we don't have good results if they do.

| Wellness is working great for me! I fed my beloved Yorkie & Biewer Nutro Max for over a year. A fellow breeder friend sent me one warning email after another about it causing health problems in other dogs. Although I was happy with it I could not take any chances and I wanted to switch to a holistic food anyways. First, I tried Merrick's. I wish it would have worked for my dogs because it is a great food BUT I too cleaned up messy poop and I couldn't do that anymore so I know how you all feel. It just wasn't worth it. Then, a pet store owner turned me onto Wellness. I have had no problems with any of my dogs on it. The only thing that I can see that might be different is that I am feeding them puppy food as I have one 3 month old puppy, the mother of the puppy, and my 11 month old Biewer. We have already gone through the biggest bag that they make. My Biewer frequently has a hard stool from the food. |

| I was told by a pet store girl that since there is so much protein, your pups will poop more. I have been giving my 8 month old puppy Natural Balance Small Bites Ultra Premium Dog Food. She loves it! It's small enough for her little mouth and doesn't smell strong at all. I was wondering how it tasted since she loves the stuff. Want to know? It tasted like chicken and oatmeal, lol! |

| We have been on Wellness for a few months now. When they had the white fish, they did poop more. Plus, their poop had that fishy smell. They had no problems with the Wellness for small breeds. They are eating Wellness Chicken and are doing well. Pam |

| After switching to a new food, it wouldn't be uncommon for their bodies to take a couple weeks to adjust to it and they may poop more. That said, I've read a lot of complaints lately about poop problems and Wellness on YT. If it isn't getting better, I would switch.

I did feed mine wellness, but Reggie was having issues with diarrhea and after eliminating all the other possibilities...I switched their food. Mine now eat Taste of the wild...bison/vension formula.

| All of mine are on Wellness whitefish and i have not seen any more than normal poops. Twice a day is pretty much it...they are doing great on it.

| I've been feeding Molly Wellness Just for Puppy now for the past couple of weeks, and although she goes regularly twice a day, it has remained soft. And, stinks to the high heavens! Febreze for Pets candle and spray helps, thank goodness. I am wondering too when her stool will harden up to a normal consistency, rather than the soft mess she makes now. Thus, I too am wondering which food would be better to use: Natural Balance or Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul as I am able to get either one easily enough. Thanks. Carolyn |

| Lol... some of you YT members are really funny! I love reading some of these posts. Brightens my day! Well please keep the opinions and comments coming. I as well have noticed nothing but soft stools. I have to buy a whole lot more paper towels to scoop that poop! I find myself going...AHHHH not again. I made scambled eggs this morning and between my 4 five month old babies. I must have washed my hands 3 times w/ 3 scoops of poop. Buy that time the scrambled eggs just didn't look appealing I think I may try that Natural? I hear others talking about. Guess I will try and find a post on that for some more info.

| I think it must depend on the dog somewhat. Both mine are on Wellness for Puppy and one has normal stools and the other borders on constipation. I have had to give her canned pumpkin to help with that. I do know anything with potato in it will produce large volumes of stinky stool. My poodle was on a venison and potato kibble and I had to change his food because of it. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Alll the dogs and puppies here eat California Natural Lamb and Rice--puppy food or the lower fat version. I didn't know they had a small kibble variety. As soon as we go through, the 40# of dog food we have (our store where we buy our food burned down--so we stocked up when we found it 250 miles from home, lol) I will look for it. The dog food store is now scheduled to open in a new location in 2 weeks. |

| I am not sure why the girl informed the reason for more poop was from protein. We tried wellness my dogs really didn't like it. The more fillers causes you to move your bowels more. Foods that are high in fiber assist in evacuating the bowels regularly. I am feeding my dogs lifes abundance and they like it and the poop is not an issue. The dogs have to go some time. |
