| Strange Behavior with Food Occasionally, when we put down food for Bitsy, she'll start pushing it away with her nose. She doesn't actually touch the food, but she puts her nose down on the floor and pushes it forward. She'll do this repeatedly for several minutes and then doesn't eat the food. What the heck is my little fur baby doing? I was telling my Vet what a picky eater Bitsy was, so she brought out several kinds of wet food on a plate and Bitsy started this unusual behavior. The Vet said, "Hmmmm. She's trying to bury it". Does your Yorkie ever do this? |

| LOL! Yes, it's very normal yorkie behavior. Actually, I've heard it's a common terrier trait in general. Gizmo also does it with food, treats, and cookies. Sometimes, I think he's just "burying" it to save it and sometimes I think it's just a game. He also has to play with his food before he eats it. He usually has to pick up a piece of food, throw it, chase it, kill it (pounce on it) and only THEN will he eat it or bury it. So yes, it's very normal. Have you experienced the zoomies yet? Where your yorkie suddenly gets all hyper and runs and runs (or hops) around the house? Usually in the evening and almost always after a bath? That's fun too.

| Oh, the zoomies! Yes, she gets those for a few minutes almost every day. We stop whatever we're doing just to watch her. The zoomies and the "sneekies" are the two funniest things I think she does. Lately, she loves to crouch down and slowly sneak up and then pounce on me. Sometimes we play sneaky around our kitchen island and she likes to hide at one end and then jump out when I find her. She's a real hoot. I don't know what we ever did before we got her 6 months ago (she's now 8 months old). |

| My maltipoo and my yorkies get the zooms. Its soooooo funny. They do not do wierd things with food though, except Cleo will grab a few pieces of food in her mouth and go in the other room with them to eat them. My mother in laws maltipoo will take and "bury" any snack or food she has in the couch cushions, corners of the rooms, or in blankets. There are suprises throughout the entire house!

| Mine does that too, to a point that one side of bowl will be empty and the other side is spilling over. He also has gotten in this weird habbit of taking out the food putting it on the floor and then eating it. They are such unique little things

| Hahaha my baby does that ALL the time. Especially if it's a new treat, but still with her regular food. She takes a piece in her mouth, runs around with it, drops it, pushes it around, pounces and growls at it. Then when she feels it's okay (or maybe she thinks its finally dead LOL) she'll eat it. After that she eats the food normally. She's so silly but I LOVE when she does this it's CUTE.

| Gracie played with her food like a cat. Throwing, growling, pouncing, batting it around before eating. Boo, he's to dignified to play with his food. But he has learned to drop several bites on the floor away from the bowl so that "darn puppy" would leave him alone to eat. Now we have Yogi and although he doesn't seem to play with his food, it's just one more for Boo to have to "feed" while he's trying to eat. And the zoomies are hilarious!! Gracie makes the funnest sound too. Like an exaggerated breathing, very loud. And she always has a huge smile on her face while zooming. She did the sneakies with Boo, who again found it too beneath him to join in. We have wood floors and Gracie stuck out like a sore thumb against them, yet she'd still pretend to stalk him. He'd just look at her like, You realize I can see you, right? Yogi and Gracie play sneakies together all the time. It so very cute to watch them!
