| Thinking of switching to Natural Balance Pet food, good kibble, bad kibble. It is so overwhelming sometimes reading up about the good foods and the bad foods and what if my dogs don't like what I feed them. -sigh- When I got my yorkie baby the breeder had her on Iams puppy. I switched her (and my other doggie) from that to Royal Canin, they seemed to like that, and my older dog gained weight, which was something he had a hard time doing before. He looked awesome, Tila liked it she ate it, but she seemed to have a lot of itches. Other than that they really did seem to be doing fine on it, but then one day they both got the runs and they got sick, after I starting feeding them from a new opened bag of RC. Not sure if that had anything to do with the food. But I then went and switched them to Wellness, which is what they are still currently on. I heard it was a good food, much preferred over RC. But, since switching them I noticed that they don't itch as much and Odie eats the food, but Tila doesn't really eat it at all. She will really only eat when Odie eats, when before on RC she would eat anytime, and Odie's coat doesn't look as great as it did. Now I have heard nothing but great things about Natural Balance and am thinking of switching them again. I'm again heading into the city next week and will pick some up, which should I try? They have different kinds of NB right? Does anyone know the price range for NB? Not that it matters, I will pay anything to have my dogs eating a healthy, good food. But I noticed for I think it was a 10kg bag of RC was like $65 and for a 12kg bag I think of Wellness it was $35. I'm just confused and want my yorkie to eat more instead of having her food just sit and sit in her dish. So anyone have any suggestions? Should I still keep trying them on Wellness or should I try NB? NB is a good food right? No icky stuff in it? lol. Thanks everyone!! |

| Natural Balance is good. I'm in the process of transitioning my three to the Sweet Potato and Fish formula and they love it! No runny stools at all.

| Mine love the Sweet Potato and Fish, I used to feed it exclusively but then I switched to raw. I now use the NB as treats and for Ryder in his crate (he's really little). I think it's a fantastic food, and the limited ingredients are fantastic for allergies or food intolerance.

| I have switched mine two over also, and they really seem to like it, the only problem I have is they like duck and potato in the a.m. and venison, potato at night, I have tried just doing the duck but at night Teddy mostly will come and paw my leg until I put the venison out.

| Do you guys feed your babies the canned or the dry? My Brooklyn is on the ultra premium dry and I mix in either sweet potato and venison or potato and duck and he sucks it up but leaves the kibble behind. Should I try a different kind of the kibble?

| I just switched to Nautral Balance and he really likes it. I actually had to switch cold turkey because I thought I had a few days worth at my bf's in a container. When I ran out of food at mouth apartment and went to get some at his house, his container was gone. Luckily he didn't have any problems when I switched, no runny stool or stomach aches. He's been gobbling it up rite away since I switched.

I just checked my recipet and I payed $29.98 for the 17lb of Sweet Potato & Duck. So that's be 35.51 CAD for 7.7 kg, or so a website says. I had him on Wellness Core but he was biting on his paws and itching a lot so I decided to switch foods. Bother are good foods with good ingredients. I also give him NB's Bison & Blueberries treats and he loves them! Good luck deciding! I think NB is a good food since one of your dogs was itchy on Wellness. They have a few different kinds but only 3 allergy & grain free. I'd stick with one of those! They are the Sweet Potato & Fish, Sweet Potato & Venison and their Potato & Duck formulas. I got Meeko the Potato & Duck and he loves it!

| My mom's malt mix loves the NB Potato & Duck. No itchies on that food at all, and he eats well. After going through several kibbles that he wouldn't eat, this one is a winner.

| I have been looking online and found Innova puppy food. Has anyone tried it? Does your puppy like it? It is rated very high for good quality. I was using Science diet and found out it isn't very good quality. Also my puppy doesn't like it. Must taste bad to her. lol |

| Natural Balance Duck & Potato is the only thing that cleared up Hobbs' dry flakey skin. |
