| Innova or Solid Gold? Hi, all! I have three Yorkie furballs now, a 10 year old, an 8 year old, and a new baby- 10 weeks old. I am wanting to make a change in the older one's diets, and give the puppy the best. I have been reading and researching, and it seems like Solid Gold Wee Bits and/or Innova Puppy and Innova EVO Small Bites might be the way to go. Can anyone give me opinions and/or experiences with these? I am also considering using Merrick's Grammy's Pot Pie as "treats". Thoughts? |

| Innova should be fine. I prefer the regular over the Evo but if you want grain free, the Evo would be okay. Watch the fat content because Evo canned and Innova canned are way too high. I would choose Innova over Solid Gold personally and because of Merricks quality control issues in the past, they would have to do quite a bit to make me trust them again.

| Innova I feed my 2 Innova and they love it! No problems with digestion either.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I prefer the Innova Evo kibble over the Solid Gold. Although I've fed both and like them, the Solid Gold is easier to find here, and I use it for my fosters so that when they leave me their new owner can easily continue the same food.

YT 3000 Club Member | Chester has been on solid gold for awhile, and I have tried the innova and he likes it, but I did not switch all the way. The innova is exspensive and they charge more just because it is called the small bites. Chester has trouble with his anal glands so the solid gold has higher fiber in it. I would say they both are good and whatever your furbaby does the best with. |
