odd raw feeding question So today we tried feeding Dolce Nature's variety venison raw food, he seems to love it but the problem is he doesn't like eating it where his designated eating area is. He always takes a piece and then runs off with it to eat it somewhere else and he sometimes drops the food on the carpet. I'm just worried about bacteria and stuff growing on my carpet so how do I get him to stop taking the food and running away with it to eat somewhere else

Donating YT 11K Club Member | You can feed it to him by hand. My dogs eat so fast, that i have to do that sometimes. They dont even taste the food, they just swallow it.

The only time that Harley will stay near his bowl to eat is when I sit in the floor beside him. Maybe if you sit in floor the food will stay where it is supposed to? Jeri and Harley

You need to either block them or leash them in the kitchen where you want them to eat. It's very typical behavior....

I know, it is bizarre....I think they like the feeling of 'something' under them while they eat. TJ eats Raw and I cut up his meat patti (still sorta frozen, as he likes it that way) and spread it around a medium glass plate. On the floor I have a special plastic placemate, which I put his plate on...BUT...I also 'tuck' a dish towel under the placemate (in the front, a little bit) and the rest is like a 'mini' carpet for him to stand on and eat ~ Doing this I have kept him from wandering when eating
