| Yorkie biting chewing on her nails..... Can anyone tell me if my girl is biting on her nails if it will harm her? I know she probably does it out of bordom...but I'm more concerned whether or not it will hurt her in anyway... |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | It's probably not her nails she's chewing...it's the paws and in between themselves. Usually that's a sign of food allergies. Sometime depending on the wildlife in your yard...they can pick up mites too.

| Mine does that too, but, no allergies, so, don't know why he's doing it..sometimes, it is like he's doing it out of boredom, as he only does it when he's lying around |

| I wouldn't worry about it, Winston chews his sometimes to. He's not allergic to anything so I think he just does it out of boredom. If we get his attention with a bone than he'll chew that instead and forgets all about his nails.

| I have an OCD nail bitter too! As long as I keep them short, he can't make daggers out of them |

| My cross breed dog becky bites her claws and when I mentioned it to the vet, he just shrugged and said she is keeping them short herself. |
