| best food for a beautiful coat?? of course genetics are a factor but I noticed with feed my Ted Evo that his coat has gotten even more dull. And I also want to switch food b/c it makes his poo really hard! BTW, Ted has a cotton coat. what's the most healthy food and helps produce a shiney coat ???

YT 2000 Club Member | go into diet and health section on this board and right at the top there is a post about "premium foods" . They are on the list. Go to thier website and send them an email asking for them for a free sample. I did this just to try it first with my dogs before I bought a bigger bag. They sent me 6 small bags. MY dogs liked it, however I asked for samples of Taste of the wild (same company) also and my dogs enjoyed that more. The chicken soup isnt really that expensive compared to some of the better foods Ive seen. They also make can. It has great ingredients in it!! I found mine at a local feed store. I think petsmart carries it but Im not real positive on that.

| No petsmart does not carry chicken soup..I had to go to pet supplies plus to get it..but I do think most feed stores carry it as well. I feed mine both the dry and the can, and they like the can better then any other can food we have tried.

| I really have been impressed with Life's Abundance. It has probiotics for the skin and coat. Let me know if you would like some samples and I'll send you some! My Gracie had some skin allergies early on. She now has a beautiful coat and her skin is perfect! Get this - my 16 year old now has the right balance in him where I am not having to vacuum 2 times a day due to shedding! (he's not a yorkie!) I hope that helps!

| Life's abundance has helped my Lab tremendously stop itching and shiney coat. Little Ted was on it at the recommendation of the breeder; so I put Wallace on it too..what a difference. |

| Try adding Flax Seed Oil and Missing Link Plus to the food..... My first yorkie (pet) is soft coated.....Bathing her in Cosette's Closet Private Collection Shampoo and Conditioner is about the best thing I've found for her coat.

| I've been experimenting lately with food too. Similar reasons to yours. Greatest success for us- Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul. Kibble is out all the time and we give Atticus the wet variety once or twice a day. He likes it and his poop is nice. I went to the Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul website, typed in my zip and found the nearest seller.

| Raw is the way to go for the best coats!!!!!!!! It can be any form of raw - freeze dried, medallions or prey model. There is such a tremendous difference that kibble just can't touch. The teeth are much healtier as well!!!
