| Quick Question! Ok, I sprayed some flea/tick killer (safe for animals, of course) yesterday morning all over the carpets, couch, bed, underneath the bed, every nook and cranny I could find! Fiona had some fleas on her this am, but then I think she is clear, cuz I took them off What would you do next!? We had a great frost this am, so im gonna say it is safe that they are all dead from outside...Im not sure if I should bathe her maybe again tomorrow, and make sure they are all off and then spray again?! She is getting spayed on 11/4 so I'm gonna get more flea/tick prevention...I just want this whole ordeal to be over with!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I believe fleas can survive even after a frost. I've been told the larvae can live for up to two years in carpet I've used Adams flea spray before and it is supposed to continue to kill the larvae and fleas for up to 3 months. If I were you I wouldn't stop treating just yet.

| We use Sentinnel -- it takes care of fleas, heartworm, other worms and ticks. They get it once a month and we've never had any fleas. Good luck.

| Thank you. I ended up giving her a bath on Friday night since I found about 3 on her. I left the shampoo sit on her for about 1o min, and they were all over....then she seemed to be fine. I found another one on her last night, and thats it. I think im going to buy some more spray and do it again, even though it kills eggs, larvae, and fleas for up to 210 days. it has been VERY cold out, and I was always told that fleas will die at the first frosting....

| Once you have fleas in your home, carpet, furniture, etc. I think you will need to buy some good flea bombs for the home. You will need to set off the bombs and keep pets and people out of the home for about 3 hrs. You can then re-enter and open a couple of windows to air out the house. I have been told that is the only sure way to get rid of all fleas, eggs and larvae. |
