| Lethargic after vaccine I took Buster in for his 2nd round of shots today, and he's been very lethargic and just out of it. I took him back to the vet earlier because he would scream in pain when touched. They said he is fine...just sore from the shot. Anyhow he has been sleeping off and on since 1 pm. Has anyone elses' Yorkie reacted like this to shots? He was fine after his first round....I'm just worried . |

| Have you read any of the notes I have posted today! We almost lost Daisy today. She had her last set of shots and not only had a reaction but went into sugar shock. It was pretty touch and go for several hours. He said the stress of the reaction to the shot is what probably brought it on. I am still giving her sugar water and nutracal every hour. She is much better now. Please, please watch him very closely. It can happen so fast! |

| Sorry I hadn't read your posts....I feel sick! I'm glad your Daisy made it. I've been giving Buster Nutracal since he got home. Thanks for the info! |

| They told me a pea size spot of it every hour and sugar water. I hope no one has to go through what we have been through today. |

| When my little puppy got his rabies shot last week the vet told me he could be lethargic for the rest of the day. He was still pretty much himself, but he did sleep quite a bit. It didn't take long for him to get back to normal. You're baby should be fine. Good luck! |

| Sango wasn't her playful self after she was vaccinated yesterday also. She also yelped when I tried to pick her up. My boyfriend (he's an MD, not DVM.. hehe) said that she's probably sore from the shots also. I've been giving her Nutrical & she still has per appetite for her puppy chow so I wasn't too worried. This morning she came to give me puppy kisses before work and she was playing w/her chew toys. So I think she is slowly getting back to normal.

| Everytime Deegan gets a shot he seems to be fine afterwards. But the doctor always lets me know that if he is acting lethargic, and not eating, that it is normal for about 24 hours. If he's not better, then bring him in. Thankfully, I've never had to. Good luck with your furbaby.

| Sammie was very sensitive too and cried if I touched him where he got the shot. I gave him baby aspirin and he was okay. The nice part is that they sleep for about 24 hours. Enjoy the quiet!

| Scout scared me, too after his shots. He cried pitifully and acted lethargic, The vet said to give him 1/2 a baby aspirin and that seemed to help.
