| I would keep Demi away from the cat poop. He may get sick from eating it! I would ask the vet why the puppy would be doing that. Good Luck! |

| It is normal for her to try to eat the cat poop. She can taste cat food in the poop and it is tasty to her. You have to put the litter box somewhere that she can not get to it. You do not need to take her to a vet to find out why she would eat it. |

| oooooooooooooooh yum, litter box kitty crunchies! no worries, the cat food usually has more "flavor" in it so it would naturally smell more apetizing when it comes out as well: just like what was mentioned, no need to consult a vet just get the litter box out of the way of youre furbaby..... oh and the dog can really only contract something if the cat has something virul in its system to begin with, otherwise you are fine....... might not want to be accepting of kisses for a while though....lol |

| Thanks Thanks all...it is a quite disgusting habit, I'm sure you would all agree. It's so sad that something so cute would do something that is just nasty!! |

My Tinkie eats cat poo too! She also....licks the cats butt!! Ha ha I was really grossed out like you and called up the vet hysterical thinking that she was doing something abnormal. The vet told me it is a natural thing for animals to eat poo. She said that the cat has better tasting food and it draws the puppy to the poo. I started to mix a few cat food pellets in her puppy food and I have the cat box in a room with a closed door when the cat is outside. Another thing you can do is put up a baby gate, my cat can jump on and over the gate to get to his box but Tinkie can't. I would just try to make access to the litter box limited to the cat only by using a gate. But, the cat poo your puppy occassionally gets into, shouldn't make puppy sick. Good luck!

| Well, my pup was eating his own poop! How gross is that? I read a few websites and I took their advice. I sprinkled meat tenderizer (unflavored) on his food. Just a tad. He hasn't eaten his poop in 3 days now. The meat tenderizer makes the poop taste nasty for some reason. You may want to sprinkle some on your cats food for a bit so this will break your dogs habit. BUT BUT BUT please check with an expert first before taking this advice. |

It never made her sick, but it was SO SMELLY!!!! I was almost sick once when she came over and licked my face just after eating cat poop I would deffinately get that litter tray out of sight, because its not good for them at all and its a disgusting habbit! I dont know what it is with cats poop, but I know ALOT of yorkies that prefer it to their food..lol. |

| Our cat has his own bathroom because all my pups love poo! We put Fred (the feline's) litterbox in the bottom of the hall closet and opened the door enough for him to get in, then put a wedge under the door from the outside so the dogs can't get it open. Tends to be stinky in there, so we only use the storage space above for, well, Colin's junk. (Don't tell him I said it was junk.) The butt licking is annoying too. I just tell them it's innapropriate, but they don't listen. |

| Ours loves cat poop. We only have outside cats and they are mostly barn cats that we feed at the house AND of course, they have to poop at the house. We have to keep up with the worming on the dogs as they get worms from the cat poop. |

| This is almost funny!! All of our Yorkies seem to like to dine on Kitty poo. I guess even though they are cute, they are still DOGS...ha haha aa. When Schatzie came along our cats were put outside, but when they were in doors Annabelle our Schnauzer would sneak in and take the poopies. She always thought she was sneaky about it but the kittly litter stuck in her beard. Solid evidence right there, LOL. I am sure if the cats were still inside, Schatzie would be having a field day dining full heartedly on the poo-poo's too... Im still kinda laughing, it's pretty funny even though it disgusts us humans, LOL

| Poopsicles My little Neena is usually so picky about her food, and nothing has ever kept her interest for very long. During the middle of winter she was outside to do her business... usually she would just stand there in the middle of the lawn and not move. This particular day I was so pleased to see her investigate her surroundings and to enjoy being outdoors. She was sniffing around in the snow and seemed to have found a very tasty morsel... literally gorging herself. I had not seen her that excited about any of the foods I had offered to her. As I looked to see what she was doing I almost lost it. Here she was chomping delightfully on what seemed to be her own poop... it was in a frozen state... poopsicles I called them. Oh my . |

| How I would miss all Toto's precious "puppy kisses" if I ever saw her do that!!! I have found that she loves little tidbits of frozen "stuff" ... she is also a picky eater! I keep a little ziploc bag of apple chopped in tiny little cubes in the freezer and when she acts hungry before time for her dinner or for a special treat, I give her a little of that ... she loves it! She also loves ice or a little piece of anything frozen! I also keep little bits of frozen baked potato, sweet potato, pasta, etc. and on rare occasions I give her some of those for treats! Perhaps Neena just wants something cold?
