| Update on Orijen bone fragements found in food... Alrighty, so i called the retailer today and she said to bring the bag back in and she will provide a new one for us. Secondly i called Champion pet foods and she explained to me that a few months ago they had replaced their screen where the food is processed and it was a little larger than normal, this explaining why the shards of bones fell into the food. She said this has all been corrected and everything is fine, she told me that the bag i had purchased must have been one of the older bags still on the retailers shelves. I can understand this because we normally buy the smaller bags of 2.5 kg and we have never had this problem until we bought the biggest bag. Champion pet foods stated to me that they sent out notices to all their retailers explaining that the bones are not harmful and will not affect our pets. Besides this we have never had a problem with Orijen and it has outstounding results, our babies LOOOOVE the food and gobble it up, we have never found a found like this before and don't plan on switching.!!! I am just glad that this was a problem of the past and wont happen again. I thought i would update everyone since my posting last night about my findings. Also here are some more pictures of the bones and with proof...as requested. It seems i purchased one of the "old" bags from the shard bones a few months ago. I'm heading down today to pick up our new bag, since it's 1 hr away i think i might just open the bag on spot and inspect it right away! | Champion food is one of those rare comapnies that do work hard at doing things right and will correct things as soon a s they can and do not usually fall short. Glad that you got good results as well. JL

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It appears that bag is likely from MAY or JUNE then - and probably the retailer's fault for not pulling it from the shelves (and Orijen's fault originally for changing screens). Glad to see you got this resolved.

| I never cease to be thankful that I home cook. I'd take those bones and hava them tested to see what animal they came from!!
