| Advantage Multi My two babies, one 2 years old and one 4 months old started the Advantage multi 1 month ago and they have been having intermittent diahria since then. All blood tests and fecal tests have come back normal. Every time I suggest the problem may be the Advantage Multi I am told it is a gentle treatment. Advantage Multi is the only new thing they both have in common. They have both been eating Canidae All stages. The older pup since she was 4 mo. old, the younger since she was 6 wks. old. They are both CLOSELY supervised when they go wee-wee, and are inside their pen on grass. Most of their time is spent either on the screened porch or inside. Any thoughts?

| Did it happen when Canidae changed their formula? Advantage Multi is full of pesticides and insecticides. It is anything but gentle... It is also pretty new (the multi part) and I wouldn't be comfortable using it until more data is available. I personally also don't like over the shoulders treatment for heartworm. How about going to Interceptor and maybe Frontline if you need something for fleas?

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I have used Advantage Multi for day 1 on Nolee. I too find the diarrhea a problem. Seems like about a week after each dose. I also was told by the vet it was not the Advantage Multi. He will not chew the oral heart worm medication, therefore I went with the Advantage Multi. Living her in Louisiana, I dont want to take any chances.

| The older pup was on Intercepter untill a month ago. There was no problems with diahria then. Neither pup has had any problem with the food prior to the Advantage Multi. They will both be going on the Intercepter onthe 4th., then I will know for sure. The Vet. tells me any probs. would have occurred immediatly after applying the Multi, but I can't help thinking that the Multi. is the problem. I am thinking that because they are always mouthing and biting (playfully) on each other that maybe they are getting the poison in their mouths, and perhaps after a few days of this it brings on the upset tummies. A couple days the doodles are normal, and then diahria. So far they haven"t had upset tummies at the same time...thank the powers that be! All DH and I seem to talk about this month is what cosistancy the latest doodle was. I would just really like things to go back to normal for them and us. Pet Pectin seems to help. My poor little girls... Bye-Bye Advantage Multi.

| When did Canidae change their formula? We have been feeding from a bag that was purchased the 1st. of this month, the same time they had their first dose of Advantage Multi. I was not aware there had been a change.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Can you tell me what I can use for heartworm that does not need to be chewed? The vet has not suggested anything but a pill. I would love to find something else to use. Do you get the Intercepter from the vet? Thanks for the info.

| Canidae changed their formula a few months back. Interceptor is chewable but Ellie just swallows her. I have to check with the vet to see if that is okay. Heartgard (not Heartgard Plus) is a pill and I don't think it needs to be chewed.
