Canned or dry food? Hello, i have a 23 week old Yorkie and i was wondering if i can give him a full can of authority canned dog food( the very small can, the smallest one on the market). Everyday for supper time but still he would eat his dried food in the mourning. Can he eat canned food every day for supper?

Yorkies are notorious for being a breed with bad teeth problems. The only problem with canned food is that it gets stuck to their teeth easily and can cause tooth decay if not brushed off. So, feeding canned food for dinner is fine, but you need to start a routine of brushing his teeth daily.

well i woudln't feed authority. Their dry food is not a very good quality. There are MANY fillers and only one protien source although there is probably more filler than protein in this food. It also has beet pulp and corn gluten meal which aren't good. However, yes he can have wet food for supper. He might start deciding he likes wet better and not want to eat his dry food tho.. which is fine.. he can eat all wet.. you will just need to brush his teeth daily.. which is a good thing to do anyways

yes you can. But do they make a puppy formula??? if they don't then no you cant.. he needs puppy food until he is a year. BUT if they do make a puppy formula then yes you can... but you have to brush his teeth daily... or you could have a nice big vet bill after a dental cleaning

I fed Blue Buffalo foods for quite awhile, up until the dog food recalls, and then I started homecooking. I do believe in the BB brand and company, and I feel good about their pet foods. If I were to feed commercial dog food, this would be one I would consider, I think it's a great food at a reasonable price! Have you tried mixing a little canned in with the dry? that might be the way to go-half and half! Also remember that he will need to eat a greater quantity of wet food than dry because the wet has so much water in it. so, for example, if you're feeding 1/4 cup dry he'll need 1/3 cup wet.
