| Sick Puppy? Hi Everyone, Our little Fenway is 5 months old we have had him for about two months now. Today he has thrown up 3 times, and once on Sunday while we were gone for the day. We are thinking it may have to do with the treats we give him since he is going to the bathroom outside now he always gets one when he comes in. We started with IAMS puppy biscuits when we first got him and we break them in half then as he was teething more we switched to a softer one called beggin wraps which we also broke in half, but we stopped giving him those when he puked one day after running around a lot and saw he didnt digest it. We also had switched to those because he had diarreha when we were giving him the IAMS. So my husband tried to give him a baby carrot the other day and he loved it so we gave him a couple of those as treats, but when he puked today the first two times it was carrot. (sorry for the details). His food is Eukanuba puppy small breed and he is eating that just fine. He is still playing with his toys as well. Does anyone have any advice? What do you all give your yorkies for treats? I know they are said to have very sensitive tummy's. Also, we dont think it is the heat because our house is air conditioned. any help will be very much appreciated! |

| There is special food for pups with sensitive stomachs. That may be his only problem and it may not be a long-lasting problem or he may always have a sensitive stomach. Only time will tell. As far as treats are concerned, Kacee has an iron stomach. I do give her baby carrots as treats, but only one or two, even three at the most in a day. I also give her Bil-Jac liver treats - maybe one or two a day. Once in a while I give her cheerios . She likes them and that is one thing I used to housebreak her. The other thing I give her is little pieces of cheese . They all love cheese. I have yet to meet a yorkie that doesn't like cheese, but I'm certain there is probably one or two out there that doesn't. Try the cheese - just little pieces. Let us know how your little one gets along. How much does he weigh? I love his name, by the way.

| thank you for the advice after reading some others posts about their dogs being sick I was starting to worry. I will keep posted on how he is doing, he has gone to sleep for the night, and I am glad you like his name not everyone does! (We are from Boston originally.) Once his stomach settles and I know he is ok I will give Cherrios a shot and later on cheese. He is still a little guy only 5 months. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Your baby could have a nervous stomach. If it continues, I'd check with a vet. Nervous stomachs can be controlled with medication.

| Talked to the vet and fenway is getting tiny pieces of boiled chicken for his treats for the next week, if he still seems to be throwing up after that the vet wants to see him or if his symptoms get worse in the meantime. He's been doing good though! |
