| Innova Evo Red Meat Small Bites - Hairy????? Question - my baby got his baby teeth pulled out today, and the vet said to give soft food for tonight. I soaked some of his Evo red meat small bites kibble in warm water to speed up the softening process and was SHOCKED to see eyelash pieces of hair sticking out of some of the kibble, and some floating around. IS THIS NORMAL? Should kibble include hair?? It looked like hair, felt like hair, and I believe it was hair or fur. Whatever it was, I thought EVO was supposed to be one of the highest rated dog kibbles. I'm really worried about this. What food should I switch him to now? We've tried Wellness, Orijen, and now Evo. |

| That's the problem with kibble isn't it? You have to trust that all is listed on the label but then again, anything could be in that hard little nugget. |

| I would contact the company asap. I would wet more kibbles and if you see the same thing I would take a pic of it and or send the product to them in a little zip lock bg. Make sure you have the lot number off the bag. I'm am pretty sure every manufacturing company retains product from each production run so they should be able to pull that and see what happened or what it is. It can actually be something else naturally occuring from the product or ingredients but I would demand that they send this to a outside lab and demand that you get the results. | Ok so upon further research, IT IS HAIR! Apparently it's hair from the lamb that's used in Evo Sm Bites Red Meat. For those of you interested, read the thread from dogster. Other people have experienced this issue as well...I'm switching to the chicken formula, hopefully, feathers get screened out better than lamb hair. sigh... |

| Unfortunately the FDA allows a certain amout of hair in food products. This includes human food too. Its just so nasty to even think that their food has noticible hair in it...YUK! Seems to me like they are grinding the entire animal up without even skinning it. |

| That makes me wanna gag! If you're contacting the company, let us know what happened. That stuff is expensive so there shouldn't be any garbage like hair in it! Yuk!
