| Innova Evo Protein Levels? Has anyone else heard that the high amount of protein in Innova Evo Dog Food could be bad for puppies kidneys?

| Hi Lauren, I am brand new here, but I saw your post. Yes, I think that the high protein levels are not good for our little dogs. I just tried to switch to Evo after being told it was better than Canidae and all of my dogs (even my Mini Aussie) had stinky runny poop and my smallest Biewer got very sick. I was switching over very slowly and they still reacted badly. I personally do not like the Evo for this reason. Good Luck, Shauna |

| The myth that high protein is bad for Yorkies is just that - a myth. Some members here feed raw which is almost entirely protein! It's perfectly fine for them as long as they are not liver compromised. Obviously if they have a shunt or are at risk, high protein is not the way to go but otherwise, I think it's a great choice. Some dogs can't handle it though (like the above poster said) and they may get sick. It's all about what works for you!
