| Thinking of switching food, need your help!! Alright so I have had all my furkids on Canidae for over a year now. I loved everything about it. It was a great food, they loved the taste, it helped their skin and coat, the kibble was small and my favorite was that I could feed it to them through all life stages. This really makes your life easier when you have puppies, adults and seniors. However, I am not happy with the formula change. The kibble is twice as big and I am paying more for less food. So I am considering switching. Not sure if I will but I would like to explore other options. So I guess my first question is: Does anyone know of a good quality dog food other than Canidae that is for All Life Stages? Any food you would recommend? We have tried Innova and they could care less for it. Merricks they were alright with as well as Wellness and Natural Balance. Actually the only two foods they ever seemed to devour was Canidae and Chicken Soup? Should I go back to the CS? Also what food is best for the money you are paying? I am now paying $50 for a 30lb bag of Canidae twice a month, it use to be $50 for 40lbs and the food would last longer. So does anyone have any advice? I am so torn on what to do.

| Our furbabies liked the switch from Canidae to Wellness for small breeds, less poop and less smell. Pam |

| My baby loves Nature's Variety INSTINCT Duck Meal and Turkey Meal Formula for All Life Stages. But since she is still a puppy, I soak her kibble in water and crush it after a while to make it mushy. I'm afraid she might choke on her kibble because she eats like crazy! I just think the kibble is not very tiny, maybe because it's for all life stages and not just for puppies. I wish they could make smaller kibble size for small breed puppies.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | All of Natures Variety kibbles are all life stages - I like the Instinct line. I feed raw, but other kibbles I like are Orijen, Wellness Core - and the more I look into Taste of the Wild, the more I like it.

| I feed Orijen. They mark up the price like crazy over here but I think it's worth it. Owners in my country with babies from Poms to Dogo Argentinos are raving about it, so I think they're doing something right with their kibble. It's only been 4 days since I change their diet to Orijen, but so far, very good. Their pee/poo smell less strongly, if that is significant, and my shihtzu who is the pickiest eater of picky eaters eat it without prompt. LOVE Orijen right now. I know of one owner of 2 Poms who actually cuts up Orijen kibble with scissors everyday til her hands are black and blue. She finally changed to Acana which has smaller kibble. Acana is from the same company as Orijen btw. I am sticking with Orijen however, but I wet it with warm water. I have read it is better to do that, but again there's alot of opinions on this |
