| Some doggie birthday cake tips and recipe I know that a lot of us have birthday parties for our love ones. I just thought that you would like to know what I have learn today in class. The do not 1. Never give or place nuts on their birthday cakes, since they can not digest them. ( chopped, sliced, whole nuts) 2. Never uses raisins or grapes it has been known to cause diarrhea and vomiting. 3. If your furkid is allergic to wheat, you may substitute for rice flour. The do's 1. uses carob instead of chocolate(you can find it in many grocery stores or health food store) 2. Uses organic peanut butter creamy only, it has lower trans fats 3. uses milk bones or rawhide chews for candles, some furkids maybe allgeric to candle wax. 4. Frosting ideas: cream cheese/neufchatel, creamy peanut butter, yogurt or cottage cheese I have several cake recipes, I will post one Peanut Butter Carrot Cake 1 cup rice flour 1tsp baking soda 1/4 cup natural peanut butter 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 cup sheredded carrots 1 tsp vanilla 1/3 cup honey 1 egg Preheat oven to 350* Mix flour and baking soda in large mixing bowl, slowly add all remaining ingredients in order. Pour into an 8" greased round cake pan, bake for 30 minutes or until done. Let cool for about two hours. Then frost cake with puree cottage cheese and peanut butter. For add decoration place sliced carrots or large dog bones around cake. |
