My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Vets recommend Science Diet Foods because they get big kick backs from it I've been hearing bad things about Candidea too and Science Diet isn't good either. You want to stay away from by products, corn, wheat and soy. I use and now sell on my website - Life's Abundance. Its made FRESH for you and its made of al human grade ingredients. it has also never been on a recall list You can read about it by clicking on one of the links in the signature. Good luck with your baby!!! Since your baby is only 8 weeks old..I also sell canned food too, to help her eat better. And this is an all life's stages food which mean its made for puppies to adults. You feed it their whole life |

| I switched my 4-month female to Nature's Variety INSTINCT Duck Meal and Turkey Meal for All life stages. Since the kibble is bigger, I soak it in water and then mash it and mix boiled chicken liver for added flavor/enticing odor. I "think" it's the best food around here cause it had a 6-star rating at dogfoodanalysis.com and it's the most expensive kibble in my area. I just hope she eats it without the liver mix, but i guess she got used to the liver cause when I got her from the breeder she was doing this to her regular kibble that wasn't a premium brand.

| We feed our Wellness and they are doing great. The small breed adult formula has very small pieces so it is easier for them to eat

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I feed Natures Variety Raw Frozen Medallions. I'm not a fan of Science Diet at all . Canidae is a good food - although I've recently heard of folks having problems with the change in the new formula. If your baby is doing well on it, you don't really have to change anything though.

| My girls all eat Life's Abundance and are doing great on it. Alyssa has stopped scratching and her allergies are all but gone. I did use Canidae but the last bag I bought was different. It was a different color and my girls did not like it. Right now we are Life's Abundance all the way.

| When Mochi was 5 months old (that's the time we brought her home), she skipped meals because she retired from her kibbles from one brand to another. We let her tried many other brands and she keep skipping her meals. I then tried home cooking. She never misses 1 meal after that! Now she is 1 year old and weighs 3 lbs, and she is not as picky as when she was young. So I give her a few Solid Gold kibbles to her before bedtime so that she won't have an empty stomach during sleep (she tends to vomit at night if she has an empty stomach). Home cooked food works well and she is still crazy about it every meal time.

| Since my girls have allergies I homecook... And they LOVE it!!! I also give a little dry kibble - Royal Canin Yorkshire... I know it's not the best dog food, but unfortunately we don't have the 6 stars dog food you guys have in the US, and here RC, Science Diet and Eukanuba are considered the best |

| My little one eats Natures Balance. As far as Science Diet--it's not the best, it's not the worst. (And contrary to popular belief, not ALL vets recommend foods just because they get money from the manufacturer.) None of mine eat it because I don't think it's what is best for THEM. However, what's best for one may not be best for the next...and for some, Science Diet may work well. |
