General questions Hi all, I am also a newbe. I was wondering if any one out there would share their deworming schedule's and what kind of wormer(s) they use. I am a small breeder and anything that anyone would share that is a cost savings would greatly be appreciated. I am mainly interested in good old fashion country vet thoughts and idea's. Not that you have to be a vet to give the adivse, I realize most are not vet's but your experience is just about if not as good. thanks to all that answer. Hayley's Yorkies

First of all, HI and welcome to YorkieTalk. I Start my pups off at 6 weeks with de-worming. I follow up every 2 weeks after that. I usually don't let mine go until 12 weeks so they get de-wormed 4 times before leaving. I use Nemex 2 and get it from Revival Animal Health. My pups always have a clean fecal after this. I also give mine a round of Albon for possible coccidia a couple of weeks after they begin eating on their own. Hope this helps.

I did not know that about wip worms. I have heard of safeguard but have to give it 3 days in a row...yuck. Same with adults. I guess I was hoping there was something out there to use that would take care of all and only have to give once/ a month or so... give puppies a 3 day dose isn't too bad but when you have to do that with adults by your self it is hard to get done. Anyone know of anything.? I have bought a few things from Revial, and they are a really good company.
